SAMBA, Dec 16: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction work at the Thandi Khui bus terminal located in Samba district today.
The project, which is being built at an estimated cost of ₹18.53 crore by the Public Works Department, will accommodate 100 buses. It aims to serve inter-district and intra-district buses coming from various states, providing a central hub for commuters traveling across different regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
During his discussion with officials, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the need for prompt completion of the project while ensuring compliance with quality standards. He highlighted the significance of this ambitious undertaking for enhancing connectivity between Samba and other districts in the Jammu division.
“Officers must ensure the bus terminal is completed promptly and any deficiencies should be resolved at the earliest to benefit the public,” he asserted.
