*Sainik School Nagrota Celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 23: Emphasizing the significance of quality education, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary remarked today that education fosters discipline while enhancing the intellectual capabilities of the youth.
“Education not only instills discipline but also aids in the spiritual development of youth, paving the way for a prosperous and advanced nation,” he stated during the annual day celebration at Sainik School Nagrota.
Acknowledging the school’s long-standing commitment to quality education, the Deputy Chief Minister noted its substantial contribution to shaping the future of younger generations. He highlighted that alumni of the institution have excelled in various fields.
While encouraging the youth to dedicate themselves to their academic pursuits, he advised them to steer clear of harmful tendencies that could jeopardize their health and futures. Instead, they should focus their efforts on contributing to the development and prosperity of the nation.
The celebration began with a ceremonial Guard of Honour for the Chief Guest, exemplifying the discipline and precision characteristic of Sainik School Nagrota.
The Deputy Chief Minister also inaugurated an exhibition featuring art, photography, and science projects, showcasing the creativity and scientific skills of the cadets.
A lively cultural program at the School Auditorium highlighted the talent and diversity of the students. The event culminated with the awarding of the Cock House Trophy to Sindh House, which achieved overall championship in both junior and senior categories.
In his speech, Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia, the Principal, delivered the school’s annual report, spotlighting the remarkable accomplishments during the 2024-25 academic session and affirming the school’s dedication to academic excellence, holistic development, and instilling patriotism among cadets.
