JAMMU, Dec 4: Today, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary carried out a thorough inspection of multiple industrial estates in Kathua, accompanied by senior officials from the Industries, Pollution Control Board, and Labour Department.

During his evaluation of the various industrial units in Kathua, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the importance of following the established guidelines for proper industrial operations, taking into account both human resources and environmental concerns. He urged the industrial units to prioritize the employment of local skilled youth, highlighting that the industrial sector has the potential to be a significant source of jobs, and it is essential to provide locals with appropriate employment opportunities.
The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the SIDCO complex in Kathua and engaged with officials present there. Additionally, he visited the Assistant Labour Commissioner’s office in Kathua. Later on, he met with a delegation from the All Jammu and Kashmir Jat Association, led by former Minister Manjit Singh, who presented their issues and sought prompt resolution.
