NEW DELHI, Dec 23: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to embark on a six-day visit to the United States starting Tuesday.
This will mark the first high-level visit from India to the US following Donald Trump’s presidential election victory.
“External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will be visiting the United States from December 24 to December 29,” announced the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
“He is scheduled to engage with his counterparts to address important bilateral, regional, and global matters,” the MEA added in a succinct statement.
Additionally, the MEA indicated that Jaishankar will preside over a conference comprising the Indian Consuls General in the US. (PTI)
