DODA, Dec 1: Search efforts continued today to locate two individuals who went missing after their vehicle fell into the Chenab River in the Kandhote-Shiva Pul area yesterday.
Deputy Commissioner of Doda, Harvinder Singh, along with SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta, visited the scene of the accident to oversee the rescue operations.
The accident occurred on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of one occupant of the vehicle, while two others remain unaccounted for.
Rescuers, including teams from NDRF, SDRF, the Quick Response Team of J&K Police, and local volunteers, are diligently working to find the missing persons.
During their visit, the DC and SSP inspected the roadside conditions at Kandhote-Shiva Pul to evaluate safety protocols and identify necessary improvements to prevent similar incidents in the future.
