New Delhi, March 3: Engineer Rashid, a Member of Parliament from Jammu and Kashmir, has filed a petition in a Delhi court requesting interim bail related to an alleged terror funding case, enabling him to participate in the upcoming Parliament session. On Monday, Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh instructed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to submit its response by March 5. Rashid’s application, submitted on February 27, argues that as a Parliamentarian, it is essential for him to attend the session to fulfill his responsibilities to the public. His request for regular bail is currently under consideration by the court. The second segment of the Parliament’s Budget session is scheduled to commence on March 10 and will conclude on April 4.
