NEW DELHI, Dec 17: GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, part of Essar’s Green Mobility initiative, has partnered with Exide Industries, a prominent battery manufacturer. This alliance aims to incorporate GreenLine’s eco-friendly LNG-powered trucks within Exide’s logistics framework, representing a significant move towards enhancing Exide’s supply chain in alignment with its sustainability objectives.
By utilizing GreenLine’s LNG-powered fleet, Exide is making a decisive effort to minimize its environmental impact while maintaining efficiency and dependability in its long-haul transport operations. As a key player in the Indian battery industry, Exide becomes part of an increasing trend of sectors adopting GreenLine’s innovative, green transportation options, according to a joint press release.
GreenLine’s LNG-powered vehicles feature sophisticated technology, including real-time vehicle tracking, predictive analytics, and improved safety measures. These trucks provide a cost-effective, trustworthy, and eco-friendly choice compared to conventional diesel vehicles, with a capability of traveling up to 1,200 km on a single fuel tank—perfectly suited for Exide’s long-distance transportation needs.
Through this collaboration, Exide establishes a new standard in battery manufacturing by embedding sustainability into its operational practices without sacrificing performance or efficiency. The shift to LNG-powered logistics allows Exide to cut down on Scope 3 emissions related to its logistics network while ensuring an efficient and environmentally sustainable supply chain.
