NEW DELHI, Dec 10: On Tuesday, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan engaged with representatives from farmers’ organizations in Haryana and Chhattisgarh to address various challenges faced by the agricultural sector.
Participants in the discussions included members from the Chhattisgarh Yuva Pragatisheel Kisan Sangh, Naugama Khap Kisan Sangathan Jind, Satrol Khap Seva Samiti Hisar, and Nandal Khap Rohtak.
During the meeting, the farmers expressed appreciation for the central government’s efforts in agriculture and farmers’ welfare, and offered several key suggestions.
Chouhan remarked on social media platform X, “The welfare of farmers is a top priority for the central government. Under the leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, we remain committed to fostering the development of agriculture and supporting farmers.”
This meeting is part of a series of dialogues initiated by the minister on September 24, aimed at understanding and addressing the concerns of farmers effectively. (PTI)
