According to an Airports Authority of India (AAI) official, “The first flight from Amritsar has landed as operations at the Srinagar airport have resumed.”
Flight delays were reported early Monday due to the heavy snowfall overnight, prompting workers to clear the snow from the runway.
The AAI official indicated, “Snow clearance operations are actively ongoing at the runway. All airlines have rescheduled their flights to after 9:30 am.”
Operations at the airport were previously disrupted by heavy fog on Saturday and Sunday, which caused delays, diversions, and cancellations of flights.
