COLOMBO, Feb 17: The former President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, engaged in talks with India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar during the 8th Indian Ocean Conference, as reported by local media on Monday.
The discussions centered around regional collaboration and maritime security, highlighting the necessity to strengthen both bilateral and multilateral relations within the Indian Ocean region, according to The Daily Mirror.
Wickremesinghe, who is currently attending the Maritime Partnership Conference in Oman, is expected to address significant concerns regarding maritime security, trade, and regional stability, the report stated. (UNI)
