RAJOURI/JAMMU, Dec 8: A tragic incident in a remote village of Rajouri district has resulted in the deaths of a 40-year-old man and three of his children, while his wife and another daughter are reported to be unwell, likely due to food poisoning.
Fazal Hussain, along with his 38-year-old wife Shamim Akhter and their four children from Badhal Gorla village, was rushed to Rajouri Government Medical College hospital suffering from severe dyspepsia late Saturday.
Sadly, Hussain passed away during treatment early Sunday morning. His wife and children were subsequently transferred to a hospital in Jammu for advanced medical care.
Tragically, three of the children—Rabia Kousar, 15, Farmana Kouser, 12, and Rafter Ahmad, 4—did not survive and died at the hospital in Jammu. Akhter and her 12-year-old daughter Ruksar remain in treatment.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotranka, Dil Mohd, stated that police have initiated inquest proceedings to determine the exact cause of the family’s deaths. (Agencies)
