NEW DELHI, Dec 17: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan stated on Tuesday that the government is consistently working to enhance farmers’ incomes through various initiatives.
The Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare noted during the Lok Sabha session that farmers’ earnings are comparable to those of laborers.
In response to additional questions during the Question Hour, Chauhan emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to boosting farmers’ incomes and assured that there would be no reduction in fertilizer subsidies for this year.
The government’s strategy includes increasing agricultural production, minimizing production costs, and ensuring fair pricing for farmers’ products.
Earlier, Speaker Om Birla extended a warm welcome to representatives from Armenia, who were visiting India and present in the House. (PTI)
