NEW DELHI, Feb 25: Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of Coldplay, had the opportunity to witness the Mahakumbh earlier this month, thanks to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who facilitated his trip to Prayagraj.
During the announcement of the renewed negotiations for the proposed free trade agreement between India and the UK on February 24, the commerce and industry minister expressed that the two nations harmonize beautifully, much like Coldplay’s ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ that illuminated the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad last month.
Chris Martin is a renowned British singer, songwriter, and producer, celebrated primarily as the lead vocalist and co-founder of the rock band Coldplay.
Accompanied by his fiancée Dakota Johnson, Martin visited the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj to immerse themselves in the spiritual grandeur and partake in the holy dip at Triveni Sangam earlier this month.
“In a small way, I contributed to this. While I was in Brussels for a meeting with the EU, I received a call stating that Chris Martin wanted to attend the Mahakumbh, and from that point, I began organizing his visit to Prayagraj,” Goyal mentioned.
“Everything seems perfectly aligned, and I am optimistic that we (India and the UK) will swiftly progress towards fulfilling our shared goals for trade, investment, and the mutual prosperity of the people of both nations,” he added. (PTI)
