GURUGRAM, Dec 17: The Gurugram Traffic Police has slapped a fine of Rs 15,000 on renowned rapper Badshah for driving on the incorrect side of the road, playing loud music, and engaging in reckless driving, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on December 15 when Badshah visited the Airia Mall on Sohana Road for a special appearance at a concert by Punjabi artist Karan Aujla, according to the police.
The Mahindra Thar involved, which belonged to Badshah’s convoy, is registered to Deepender Malik, a resident of Panipat.
Owing to heavy traffic, the SUV mistakenly drove against the flow, drawing the attention of onlookers, some of whom recorded the incident.
As clips of the event spread quickly across social media platforms, the traffic police took notice and issued a Rs 15,000 challan to the rapper on Monday.
“A challan has been generated, with actions taken for reckless driving, excessive music volume in the vehicle, and driving improperly,” stated Traffic Inspector Devender Kumar. (Agencies)
