NEW DELHI, Dec 20: Honda Cars India announced on Friday that it will implement a price increase of up to 2 percent on its entire model lineup starting January next year to help mitigate the effects of rising input costs.
The company’s offerings in the domestic market include models such as the Amaze, City, and Elevate.
Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, stated that prices will rise by up to 2 percent effective January 2025.
Behl noted that the company has been actively trying to absorb cost increases over the past year to minimize the impact on consumers.
“However, given the ongoing rise in input and logistics costs, we will need to pass on a small portion of this impact to our customers through a price revision starting in the new year,” he explained.
Furthermore, the newly launched third generation Amaze, which debuted at a competitive introductory price, will also see a price adjustment by mid-January, he added.
Other automotive manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Tata Motors, have also announced upcoming price hikes beginning in January. (PTI)
