CHENNAI, Feb 1: On Saturday, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced a total monthly sales figure of 65,603 units for January 2025.
This total included 54,003 units sold domestically and 11,600 units exported, as per a release from HMIL.
Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, commented on the sales results, stating, “We have solidified HMIL’s reputation as a leading manufacturing hub, achieving a year-on-year growth of 10.5% in exports during January, driven by steady demand for our products in international markets.”
“In the domestic market, our first locally produced electric SUV – the Hyundai CRETA Electric – launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17, 2025, has had a strong start. It has led to the brand CRETA achieving its highest ever domestic monthly sales with 18,522 units sold in January 2025,” he mentioned.
He added that to promote the electric vehicle revolution and create a smart, efficient EV ecosystem to tackle range anxiety, HMIL aims to mainstream electric vehicles in India and enhance the charging infrastructure throughout the nation.
“We believe the Hyundai CRETA Electric will establish new standards in the Indian EV market, providing a much-needed boost for the sector’s growth,” he said. (UNI)
