NEW DELHI, Dec 10: Heightened security measures were implemented outside the Bangladesh High Commission on Tuesday due to a protest march against the alleged mistreatment of minorities in the neighboring country. Officials reported that the demonstration led to traffic disruptions and inconvenience for commuters.
A senior police official stated that they had taken sufficient security precautions in light of the protest.
“We have increased security around the Bangladesh High Commission to prevent any disturbances. Law and order will be strictly maintained,” the officer remarked.
The Delhi Civil Society, along with several other organizations, has organized this march to raise awareness about the alleged violence against Hindus in the troubled neighboring nation.
