KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21: In an impressive display, left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma achieved a remarkable hat-trick and completed a five-wicket haul as India dominated Malaysia by 10 wickets during their ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup match on Tuesday.
Choosing to field first, Vaishnavi (5/5), supported by Aayushi Sharma (3/8) and Joshitha VJ (1/5), dismantled the Malaysian batting order, skittling them for a mere 31 runs in 14.3 overs.
India then effortlessly chased down the target in just 2.5 overs, with Gongadi Trisha leading the charge with a stellar unbeaten 27 runs, while G Kamalini added 4 not out.
