KATHMANDU, Feb 7: India has extended a financial grant of INR 25.10 million for the establishment of a post-birthing center in Nepal, as reported by officials on Friday.
The foundation stone for the Kuri Health Post-Birthing Centre located in the Dhading district was laid in a joint ceremony by Member of Parliament Dilman Pakhrin and Indian Embassy Councilor Gitanjali Brandon at Khaniyabas Rural Municipality.
This center is being developed with the financial assistance of INR 25.10 million from India, according to a press release issued by the Indian Embassy in Nepal.
The grant will be allocated for the construction of various facilities, including a health post-birthing center, guard house, compound wall, canteen block, pathway, and additional related services, the statement added.
Lawmaker Pakhrin expressed appreciation for India’s ongoing support for development, emphasizing that the health post-birthing center will enhance medical services for the people of Nepal. (PTI)
