Jammu, December 12: On Thursday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reaffirmed the Jammu and Kashmir government’s dedication to fostering equality and social justice for all. He emphasized that infrastructure development in the Union Territory has significantly accelerated over the past five years.

Speaking at an event commemorating the martyrdom of military strategist General Zorawar Singh, the LG highlighted the Dogra warrior’s campaigns across Ladakh, Baltistan, and Tibet, showcasing his remarkable contributions to the Dogra empire’s expansion.
“The legacies of great leaders inspire us profoundly. General Zorawar Singh’s leadership galvanized millions towards a path of equitable growth. His vision motivates us to focus on the marginalized sectors of our society,” Sinha stated.
He also acknowledged the J-K government’s initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to honor influential figures like General Singh.
Reflecting on the transformative changes in J-K over recent years, Sinha reiterated that equality and social justice remain at the forefront of the government’s agenda.
“My ‘dharma’ (duty) is public welfare, and I am committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach every corner of society without bias,” Sinha remarked.
He emphasized that the government’s progressive and citizen-focused policies have bolstered public trust in the governance system and reported significant strides in accelerating infrastructure projects that had been stalled for decades.
He affirmed that the principles of democracy and the values enshrined in the Constitution are now integral to governance.
Encouraging the youth to dedicate themselves to societal service and nation-building, Sinha expressed his confidence that collectively, we can achieve the vision of a developed India.
