JAIPUR, Dec 25: Officials reported that Border Security Force personnel shot dead a suspected intruder along the India-Pakistan border in the Sriganganagar district.
The individual was reportedly attempting to breach the Indian border on the night of Tuesday. The BSF troops issued warnings, but the suspect did not heed them, resulting in the fatality, as stated by Sriganganagar SP Gaurav Yadav.
This incident occurred in close proximity to a village in the Kesarisinghpur region, according to his statement.
Authorities recovered Pakistani currency notes, a packet of cigarettes, and several other items, and they are currently gathering additional information about the individual.
Ongoing discussions are taking place between the armed forces and police officials, he added. (PTI)
