The initiative, led by Sub-Divisional Magistrates and other senior officials, inspected nearly two dozen centers in various locations within Jammu district.
Nitish Rajora, SDM Jammu North, led the efforts in his sub-division, where two centers received notices for deficiencies identified during the inspection of seven facilities.
In Bakshi Nagar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, along with his team, assessed eight ultrasound and imaging centers. One center was found to be operating with an expired registration, which prompted immediate sealing of the facility, and the owners were instructed to renew their registration before resuming operations.
In other subdivisions, similar assessments were performed at eight facilities under the leadership of SDMs Satish Sharma in Akhnoor, Seema Parihar in RS Pura, and Athar Amin Zargar in Marh. The records at these centers were compliant with regulations, including the maintenance of all required documentation, proper certifications, and adherence to the prohibition of sex determination.
The administration has mandated that all facilities prominently display necessary notices and warnings as stipulated by the PCPNDT Act.
