JAMMU, Mar 5: Sunil Sharma, the BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, criticized the National Conference government in the Union Territory, stating that the Budget lacks considerations for the people’s concerns.
Sharma expressed, “The citizens of Jammu and Kashmir had high expectations for the Budget session. They believed that the government would address their problems in this session, but based on current observations, I doubt the government’s commitment to public issues. Their focus seems to be on repaying their voter base in Kashmir through discussions of Pakistan, a stance that has now been dismissed by the people of Kashmir.”
He further criticized Sajjad Lone, labeling him a product of separatism.
“He has spent a significant amount of time opposing national interests. We provided him an opportunity to reintegrate into the mainstream, yet he has failed to do so,” he stated.
Additionally, he accused Mehbooba Mufti and Waheed Parra of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party of struggling with the successful execution of the Amarnath Yatra.
“They attempt to leverage emotional appeal, but I suggest that the party, with merely three MLAs, will struggle to secure even ward-level elections,” he concluded. (Agencies)
