New Delhi, Jan 7: On Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had a discussion with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as part of the pre-Budget consultations, officials reported.
Their meeting at Sitharaman’s North Block office lasted over 30 minutes and was described as “cordial”.
The finance minister is set to announce the Union Budget on February 1.
This marks the second meeting between these two leaders within the span of two months.
Abdullah previously met with Sitharaman in November, marking his first engagement with her since assuming office as the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
