SRINAGAR, Feb 2: Jammu and Kashmir emerged victorious against Baroda by a significant margin of 182 runs in their Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match, securing their spot in the quarter-finals on Sunday.
Choosing to bat after winning the toss, Jammu and Kashmir recorded a commendable first-innings score of 246.
In their second innings, J&K added another 284 runs, placing Baroda with a challenging target of 365 runs to achieve.
Baroda was all out for 166 in their first innings and faced difficulties once more in their second innings, managing to reach only 182/7 at lunch on Day 4.
Despite showing some resistance, they fell short, needing an additional 184 runs to win. The dominant display from Jammu and Kashmir with both bat and ball ensured a thorough victory, enabling their progression to the quarter-finals of the tournament. (KNO)
