JAMMU, Dec 4: Following the successful retrieval of lost mobile devices through Operation Re-connect, Jammu Police on Wednesday encouraged the public to be more vigilant with their smartphones as they contain sensitive personal data.

Ajay Sharma, Superintendent of Police, Jammu South, emphasized during the press conference, “Exercise additional caution with your communication devices, as smartphones hold not only essential contacts but also private information, including photographs, emails, messages, and financial data.”
In a notable accomplishment, Jammu Police, through the special operation “Re-Connect,” managed to recover 50 lost smartphones worth over Rs 15 lakh in a span of six months.
Understanding the personal significance mobile devices hold for citizens, the Jammu South Police exhibited determination in returning these phones to their owners.
Those whose devices were retrieved expressed heartfelt thanks to the Jammu Police for their dedication to recovering their items and safeguarding their personal information.
The phones had been reported lost at various police stations in the South Zone, Jammu.
The operation was executed by the Tech/ESU team within the Jammu Police, South Zone, which included PSI Dhanraj Singh, Ct Vishal Sharma, Ct Dharminder Choudhary, and Ct. Sheetal Koul, who diligently and competently worked to locate the missing smartphones.
Under the overarching guidance of SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, the team successfully tracked and recovered the devices from multiple locations across the country.
