POONCH, Dec 25: Javed Ahmed Rana, the Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, made a significant visit to Mendhar on Wednesday to oversee a public darbar aimed at addressing the concerns and development needs of the community.
During this event, numerous delegations from various sectors, including employees and local residents, approached the Minister to voice their issues and requests. These groups presented both collective and individual concerns, urging for timely resolution.
The matters highlighted by the delegations involved welfare initiatives, public services, improved drinking water access, firewood supply, healthcare, road conditions, and tribal affairs, among other developmental topics.
After attentively listening to the grievances presented, the Minister assured the attendees that their legitimate concerns would be reviewed for swift response. He also directed relevant officials on-site to acknowledge and act on the matters associated with their departments.
Stressing the importance of transparency and accountability in governance, Javed Rana pointed out that these principles are vital for strengthening the bond between the Government and the people while facilitating more effective and inclusive decision-making. He urged the district administration officers to adopt a proactive approach in tackling the community’s developmental challenges, and he encouraged them to carry out field visits to ensure effective grievance management.
During the darbar, the Minister also requested immediate feedback from the relevant officers who were present.
