SRINAGAR, Nov 30: In a significant act of support for grieving families, J&K Bank has expedited the settlement of MetLoan & Life Suraksha (MLLS) insurance claims for its borrowers who have passed away from several branches in the Pulwama Zone. A total of Rs 1.52 crore has been distributed to 42 affected families, helping to mitigate their financial strain during these challenging times.
The Bank’s Zonal Head (Pulwama), Shaista Manzoor Khan, along with Associate Director & Head -(JKB Relationship & Credit Life – PNB MetLife) Irfan Ali Zargar and Cluster Head (Shopian) Asif Rasool Kanu presented a symbolic cheque of Rs 1.52 crore in the presence of multiple Branch Managers from the Pulwama zone, Zonal Insurance Coordinator Zaffer Tahir Andrabi, and other senior officials from both the Bank and PNB MetLife, including Regional Manager Peer Jeelani.
“We express our gratitude to the Bank for insuring these loans and commend the prompt settlement of claims. PNB MetLife’s support has been vital in reducing our financial burdens during this trying period,” remarked one of the beneficiaries.
Zonal Head Shaista Manzoor Khan reiterated the significance of loan insurance in alleviating the financial pressures families face in difficult times. “As responsible bankers, we have a duty to safeguard our customers’ interests, especially during hardships. By ensuring loans through MLLS, we protect the financial well-being of all parties involved,” she stated.
Additionally, PNB MetLife’s Associate Director & Head (PMLI), Irfan Ali Zargar, emphasized the Bank’s advice for clients to insure their loans to provide protection for their families against unforeseen events. “While we cannot heal emotional wounds, promoting robust insurance products can offer essential support to grieving families and ease their financial burdens in challenging circumstances,” he commented.
