JAMMU, Jan 23: In a significant act of support for grieving families, J&K Bank expedited the resolution of insurance claims under its MetLoan & Life Suraksha (MLLS) product for deceased borrowers within its Mumbai Zone.
A total of Rs 80 lakhs in insurance claims were disbursed to five families, helping to ease their financial strain during these tough times. The Bank’s General Manager (GM) & Divisional Head (ROI) Rajesh Gupta, along with Zonal Head (Mumbai) Irfan Anjum and Associate Director & Head (PNB MetLife) Irfan Ali Zargar presented the symbolic cheque of Rs 80 lakhs at the Bank’s Mumbai Zonal Office, accompanied by AGM Hayat Mohammad Rather, Credit Head (Mumbai) Zahoor Ahmad Qanoongu, and other key officials.
The gathering included Branch Heads, Advances Managers, Zonal Insurance Coordinator (Mumbai) Rajinder Kumar Razdan, and senior representatives from PNB MetLife, such as Regional Manager Peer Jeelani and Senior Territory Manager Taha Bin Nazir.
During the event, the Divisional Head (ROI) highlighted the vital role of insuring loans to protect the financial stability of families. “Together with our partners, we remain dedicated to safeguarding our customers’ interests through timely and customer-focused products and services. By insuring loans with offerings like MLLS, we lessen the financial burden on borrowers and their families during difficult periods,” he stated.
Zonal Head (Mumbai) noted, “With a one-time premium option and bank funding available, insuring loans significantly mitigates financial pressure on families in times of need.”
The Associate Director & Head (PNB MetLife) also encouraged customers to consider securing loan insurance for their peace of mind. “While we cannot compensate for the emotional loss, the right insurance products can furnish essential financial assistance to bereaved families, alleviating their liabilities during unforeseen events,” he added.
