J&K Government Urges Staff to Participate in Republic Day and ‘Beating Retreat’ Ceremonies

JAMMU, Jan 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has instructed its staff to participate in the Republic Day celebrations and the accompanying ‘Beating Retreat Ceremony’ as part of their official obligations.
The main Republic Day event for 2025 will take place at Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, where the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor will preside and take the salute. All government and Public Sector Undertaking officials located in Jammu are required to attend this function as it falls under their official duties.
Heads of Departments and Chief Executives of Public Sector Undertakings must ensure their attendance, as well as that of their subordinate employees, at the event.
Additionally, in a separate announcement, the Beating Retreat Ceremony is scheduled for January 29, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu. All officers and officials from government departments in Jammu are directed to be present. It is emphasized that Heads of Departments and Chief Executives of Public Sector Undertakings are responsible for their attendance and that of their employees at this ceremony.
