JAMMU, December 3: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha presided over a crucial meeting today at Raj Bhawan to assess the operations of the Home Department.
During the session, discussions were held regarding Security Related Expenditure (SRE), personnel allocation, infrastructure projects, and other significant matters concerning Home and Sub-ordinate Departments such as J&K Police, Prisons, Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards, SDRF, Prosecution, and Forensic Sciences.
The Lieutenant Governor underscored the need for modernization and the enhancement of police and associated agencies to tackle security and law & order challenges effectively. He instructed that all projects under SRE and PMDP should be completed within the set timeframe.
The meeting also covered topics on efficient prison management, human resources, and other concerns related to internal security and the criminal justice system.

Bhandari; IGP Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi, along with other senior officials from the J&K Police.
