JAMMU, Jan 24: The Raj Bhavan of Jammu and Kashmir commemorated the Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh today, welcoming senior government officials, students, and residents of Uttar Pradesh living in the Union Territory.
Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh.
He honored the freedom fighters, notable revolutionaries, and distinguished individuals from Uttar Pradesh, acknowledging their significant contributions to the nation’s development and the emergence of modern India.
He remarked that Uttar Pradesh is blessed with the legacy of great revolutionaries such as Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Mangal Pandey, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Rani Lakshmi Bai, and Begum Hazrat Mahal, representing a rich blend of cultural heritage, patriotism, and innovation that has inspired society throughout history.
“Uttar Pradesh, one of the most ancient centers of Indian culture, is a land of pilgrimage, spirituality, knowledge, and literature – a prime destination for seekers, intellectuals, travelers, and historians. Enriched by sacred rivers and home to ancient cities of civilization, I hope the state continues to achieve remarkable progress. I extend my prayers for the health and prosperity of all,” the Lieutenant Governor stated.
