JAMMU, Jan 24: The Raj Bhawan in Jammu and Kashmir celebrated the Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh today. Distinguished government officials, students, and residents from Uttar Pradesh living in the Union Territory were honored guests.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha offered his warmest greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh.
He paid homage to the freedom fighters, notable revolutionaries, and influential figures from Uttar Pradesh, highlighting their significant contributions to the nation’s progress and the establishment of a modern India.
He remarked that Uttar Pradesh is a sacred land of great revolutionaries such as Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Mangal Pandey, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Rani Lakshmi Bai, and Begum Hazrat Mahal, representing a fusion of cultural heritage, patriotism, and innovation that has guided society through the ages.
“As one of the oldest cradles of Indian culture, Uttar Pradesh is a land of pilgrimage, spirituality, knowledge, literature, and serves as a premier destination for seekers, scholars, travelers, and historians. The state is graced by sacred rivers and is home to ancient civilizational cities. May Uttar Pradesh achieve new milestones of advancement. I wish for the good health and prosperity of all,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
