JAMMU, Mar 1: The Jammu & Kashmir Senior Softball teams for both Men and Women have been finalized following a selection process held by the J&K Sports Council at MA Stadium, Jammu.
The selection committee, led by Baljinder Pal Singh, the Divisional Sports Officer of Jammu, has appointed Padam Dev Singh and Harvinder Singh as coaches for the Men’s team, while Rawat Singh and Javeed Ahmad will coach the Women’s team. Sudhir Singh and Yogesh Mahajan have been designated as managers for the Men’s and Women’s teams, respectively.
The Men’s Team roster includes: Jasbir Singh (Captain), Ajay Singh, Ayush Jamwal, Anmol Singh, Sagar Chib, Pardeep Singh, Mohammad Iqbal, Faizan Bashir, Sajad Ahmad, Tahir Ali, Ansh Goswami, Zubair Hamid, Sarbjeet Singh, Aditya, Arif Husain, and Sanjay Kumar.
The Women’s Team consists of: Gulshan Begum (Captain), Shaista Wani, Nidhi, Safura Altaf, Lavanya Jamwal, Muneera Hassan, Muskan Devi, Saima Fayaz, Bhoomika, Saniya Aashiq, Areesa Mansoor, Afnan Fayaz, Misbah, Farhana, Alankrita Mahajan, and Saminah Hussain.
The Senior North Zone Softball Championship for both Men and Women is scheduled to take place from March 3 to 5 at Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. The J&K teams will compete under the auspices of the J&K Sports Council and the J&K Softball Association.
