JAMMU, Dec 23: The State Election Commission of J&K has announced a Revised Schedule for updating the Panchayat Electoral Roll for 2025.
As per the updated timeline provided by the State Election Commissioner, B R Sharma, the submission of forms for claims and objections is set for December 26, 2024 (Thursday). The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will address these claims and objections by January 6, 2025 (Monday), with the final Panchayat Electoral Roll for 2025 published on January 20, 2025 (Monday).
The Commission noted that requests from various districts led to this extension, as many forms were received toward the end of the deadline, causing delays in processing.
