Jammu, Dec 16: On Monday, an 18-year-old male from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir was handed over to the Pakistani army along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials.

Mohd Sadiq was detained by the Indian Army in Noorkote village on the evening of December 11 after crossing the border.

Following his interrogation, it was determined that he had mistakenly entered Indian territory. The Indian Army, having verified his background with their Pakistani counterparts, repatriated him on humanitarian grounds.

The officials noted that the teenager was transferred to the Pakistani army at the Chakan-Da-Bagh border crossing in the presence of police and civil officials, following the completion of all necessary formalities.
