JAMMU, Jan 11: On Saturday, the Crime Branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Police charged 10 individuals, including two retired government officials and a policeman, for allegedly using fraudulent documents to deceive authorities, according to a senior police officer.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch Jammu) Benam Tosh reported that four separate FIRs have been filed against these individuals following complaints about their use of forged documents.
“Investigations are underway in all four cases to uncover detailed facts,” he stated.
Among those identified in the FIRs are a former deputy inspector from the fisheries department, a retired forester, and a police head constable, all accused of using fake documents to secure government employment and promotional advantages.
One case involves Mohd Farid, a resident of Kathua, who allegedly used a fraudulent eighth-grade school leaving certificate to obtain a position in the fisheries department. Another case was registered against Parveen Kumar from Akhnoor for allegedly using a false graduation certificate to receive a promotion to deputy forester.
Additionally, Head Constable Mohd Munshi from Rajouri is facing allegations of using a fake qualification certificate to gain employment in the Jammu and Kashmir Police department.
The fourth FIR targets seven individuals implicated in the preparation and use of a forged compromise agreement in the Court of Sub-Registrar, Munsiff, Jammu, according to officials.
