SRINAGAR, Dec 15: Two Army personnel sustained injuries when their vehicle skidded off a snowy road and plunged into a gorge in the Gurez area of Jammu Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday, according to officials.
Traffic police reported that the incident took place on the snow-covered Zadikushi-Gurez road when the vehicle lost control and fell into a ravine, injuring two soldiers.
The injured personnel were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical care, officials stated.
Following the accident, both Army and civilian authorities launched a rescue operation amidst heavy snowfall and frigid temperatures to ensure the injured were quickly taken to the hospital. More updates will be provided as they become available. (Agencies)
