JAMMU, Feb 5: The J&K Wildlife Casual Workers/Labours Association is demanding to be included under Outsourcing Head-364 (Non-plan) instead of the CAMPA Scheme. Today, these workers from the Wildlife Department gathered outside the Chief Wildlife Warden’s office in Jammu to protest. They carried banners and chanted slogans in support of their demand, and later submitted a memorandum to the Chief Wildlife Warden outlining their requests.
Approximately 754 casual laborers/workers have been engaged with the J&K Wildlife Department for the past 10 to 15 years. The Director Finance had instructed the Wildlife authorities to compile and submit a list of these casual workers by name. Currently, all workers are assigned to the CAMPA Scheme, but they are requesting a shift to the Outsourcing Head 364 (Non-plan). The casual workers are experiencing significant difficulties in securing their dues. They are urging Regional Wildlife authorities to compile their list and send it to higher authorities for further action.
