JAMMU, Dec 3: The Annual Sports Week at J&K Police Public School (JKPPS), Miran Sahib, came to a successful conclusion, showcasing sportsmanship, collaboration, and enthusiasm among students. The event, which kicked off on November 26, culminated in a remarkable closing ceremony held at the school grounds today.
Esteemed guests attended the ceremony, including Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, who served as the chief guest; Sarah Rizvi, DIG IRP Range, Jammu, as the guest of honor; and Suram Singh, Commandant JKAP-8th Bn. The proceedings began with a warm welcome from Rajeev Sharma, Principal of JKPPS, followed by vibrant cultural performances by the students.
In his speech, Anand Jain commended the students for their spirited engagement in the sports events and highlighted the significance of developing life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship. He urged the students to face both victories and setbacks with resilience, pointing out that sports are essential for the holistic growth of individuals.
Sarah Rizvi also spoke to the audience, praising the students for their commitment and sportsmanship throughout the week. She stressed the necessity of balancing academics with physical activities, which is vital for the overall development of students. She also lauded Rajeev Sharma and the school staff for their dedication in organizing the event.
The event’s pinnacle was the announcement of Subash House as the Overall Champion. Anand Jain congratulated the winning house and inspired all students to strive for excellence. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Anju Sharma, Headmistress.
