NEW DELHI, Jan 14: Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced a deepened partnership with Tata Communications to advance connected car technologies, as stated in their joint announcement on Tuesday.
Through this strengthened collaboration, Tata Communications will provide its MOVE platform to augment JLR’s connected vehicle ecosystem, thereby enhancing the driving experience for customers on a global scale.
This partnership aims to equip JLR’s future software-defined vehicles with reliable connectivity and access to smart services, even in the most remote areas spanning 120 countries, according to the automotive manufacturer.
This latest agreement builds on their existing cooperation to ensure the carmaker’s digital transformation remains robust for the future.
By utilizing the MOVE platform, JLR’s forthcoming medium-sized SUVs, constructed on the new electric modular architecture (EMA), will and support seamless transitions among mobile networks and operators, providing uninterrupted access to tailored connected services like media streaming.
The platform will also facilitate improved and secure data exchange between JLR and the vehicles of its customers, enabling more efficient software updates over-the-air (SOTA) and aiding the implementation of advancing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
