JAMMU, Dec 19: Emphasizing the Jammu Municipal Corporation’s dedication to enhancing civic facilities for residents within its jurisdiction, Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav announced the launch of several initiatives. During a visit to the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) facility, the Commissioner noted that JMC is focused on improving the street lighting infrastructure, a crucial element of urban development. In line with this effort, Dr. Yadav revealed that JMC has acquired 4,570 street lights through EESL. He stressed that this substantial enhancement to the city’s lighting framework aims to boost safety and visibility throughout the city of temples. To accelerate the installation and maintenance of these streetlights, the Commissioner indicated that EESL has increased its workforce and operational units to ensure efficient progress. Discussing the revitalization of the EESL project, the Commissioner encouraged the public to reach out to JMC with any street lighting concerns. He assured that JMC is committed to addressing these issues in a timely manner, highlighting the significance of effective service delivery. Urging the team to prioritize the transition of the phase wire system for all remaining unconnected street lights, he emphasized that this initiative is essential for ensuring the reliable operation of the lighting system, which will further bolster resident safety and enrich the urban environment.
