New Delhi, January 14: Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay, the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium made the recommendation for his transfer on January 7. Currently, Justice Vibhu Bakhru is serving as the acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court following the elevation of Justice Manohan to the Supreme Court. Additionally, Justice Alok Aradhe, the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, a move also recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on the same day. The government officially announced these transfers this evening.
