New Delhi, Feb 25: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the government on Tuesday, accusing it of taking away scholarships meant for the youth from SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities. He claimed that the government’s slogan of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” undermines the ambitions of these disadvantaged groups.
Kharge questioned the government’s ability to create more job opportunities when students from these underprivileged backgrounds are not provided with proper opportunities and their skills are not being nurtured.
“Narendra Modi ji, your administration has deprived the youth of SC, ST, OBC, and Minority categories of their scholarships,” Kharge stated in a post written in Hindi on X.
He shared concerning statistics, noting that the Modi government has not only significantly decreased the number of beneficiaries receiving scholarships but has also reduced funding by an average of 25 percent year after year for SC, ST, OBC, and minority students.
“How can we increase job opportunities for our youth if students from weaker sections are not given chances and their talents are ignored?” he remarked.
“Your slogan of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ ridicules the dreams of the weaker sections on a daily basis!” Kharge concluded. (PTI)
