JAMMU, Feb 4: Today, Labour Commissioner of J&K, Charandeep Singh, conducted a visit to the ESI Dispensary in Digiana to evaluate its operations and the healthcare services provided to Insured Persons (IPs).
During the visit, the Commissioner assessed the Dhanwantri module, emphasizing its significance in optimizing healthcare services for the beneficiaries. This Dhanwantri module, a Hospital Information System (HIS), is designed to enhance patient care and streamline hospital operations, allowing for digital prescription writing and patient record management.
The Labour Commissioner engaged with Insured Persons to gather insights regarding the challenges faced by the workforce and to evaluate the quality of services available. He reviewed the dispensary’s functioning and urged officials to accelerate the processing of Medical Reimbursement Claims (MRCs) and ensure the prompt acquisition of essential medicines to enhance patient care.
Stressing the necessity for effective healthcare delivery, the Labour Commissioner encouraged the staff to cultivate a more dynamic and service-oriented environment in the dispensary, making sure all IPs receive the healthcare benefits due to them. He also reaffirmed the Government’s dedication to worker welfare, calling on officials to maintain the goals of the ESI Scheme in the Union Territory. Additionally, he instructed the staff to implement immediate measures to improve sanitation.
