Ladakh Designates Nodal Officer for Compliance with Disabilities Act

JAMMU, Jan 14: The Ladakh Union Territory Administration has designated the Administrative Secretary of the Social and Tribal Welfare Department as the Nodal Officer responsible for ensuring adherence to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. This decision was made in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directive from the Justice Sunanda Bhandare Foundation vs. Union of India case, issued on December 3, 2024.
