Jammu, Feb 17: On Monday, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, highlighted the significance of public-private partnerships in empowering youth by enhancing infrastructure, creating opportunities, and opening new pathways across various sectors in the Union Territory.
“Public-private partnerships can establish a broad network for skill development and entrepreneurship initiatives, enabling us to bring these resources directly to grassroots levels,” Sinha stated.
Speaking at the launch of the inaugural Sikh Cricket Premier League, he expressed a strong belief that achieving socio-economic development and empowering youth should largely revolve around public-private collaboration.
“In 2020, I initiated various public-private partnership projects. Currently, we are establishing a supportive policy framework that allows the concerns of the youth to be addressed swiftly,” he mentioned.
Sinha commended the All J&K Sikh Coordination Committee for its critical role in empowering the Sikh community and preserving its rich heritage through innovative programs that instill pride and responsibility among the youth.
“Jammu and Kashmir is now focused on promoting inclusive growth, which entails the socio-economic advancement of all societal segments. Such endeavors are essential for equitable growth and transformative socio-economic change. They also foster values of unity, discipline, and harmony,” the Lieutenant Governor remarked.
“The youth from the Sikh community are pivotal to the socio-economic advancement and transformation of our society, and we are dedicated to integrating Sikh youth into the development process,” he added.
Sinha encouraged the youth to follow in the footsteps of their esteemed ancestors and bring pride to both the Sikh community and the nation.
He also expressed his commitment to building a robust ecosystem that provides Sikh community members, especially the youth, with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to society.
“This event transcends being merely a sporting occasion; it serves as a cultural and social initiative underscoring our commitment to comprehensive community development and striving to create a brighter future for Sikh youth in Jammu & Kashmir,” he concluded.
