JAMMU, March 4: Mahindra has officially launched its Light Commercial Vehicle – Veero CNG, starting at a price of ₹8.99 lakhs, ex-showroom. The CNG variant of the Veero reflects Mahindra’s dedication to providing sustainable and eco-friendly transportation. Initially unveiled in September 2024, it is now available to the public.
The Veero CNG is designed to handle various cargo needs, boasting a capacity of 1.4 tons and a cargo length of 3,035 mm. It offers an impressive fuel efficiency of 19.2 km/kg. In addition to its CNG tank, it features a 4.5-litre petrol tank, which, combined with the 150-litre CNG tank, grants a maximum range of 480 km for CNG alone, and over 500 km when using petrol.
Safety is a priority for Mahindra, with the Veero CNG equipped with an AIS096 crash test safety certificate. Key safety features include a driver-side airbag, robust steel construction, and a false start avoidance system. Drivers can also enjoy enhanced comfort and convenience with features like an air conditioning system, a reclining driver’s seat, a first-in-segment TFT display, engine start-stop functionality, power mode, and an advanced driver fuel coaching system.
The turbo-CNG engine produces a peak power of 89.84 HP and a torque of 210 Nm. The Mahindra Veero is available in two trims: 1.4 XXL SD V2 CNG priced at ₹8.99 lakhs and 1.4 XXL SD V4 (A) CNG at ₹9.39 lakhs. It will compete against models such as the Maruti Suzuki Super Carry and the Ashok Leyland Dost CNG.
