JAMMU, Jan 21: On Tuesday afternoon, a man was shot dead in the Jewal Chowk area of Jammu by unidentified assailants, according to officials.
The incident occurred while the victim was traveling in an SUV when he was ambushed by individuals who had been waiting in the Jewal Chowk.
Reports indicate that four shots were fired at him, resulting in severe injuries. “The victim was immediately transported to government medical college Jammu, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, while the assailants managed to escape the scene,” an official stated.
The police have cordoned off the area and initiated a large-scale search operation to apprehend the attackers. (KNO)
