MENDHAR/JAMMU, Dec 11: A 39-year-old man sustained injuries after troops from the Rashtriya Rifles opened fire during a night patrol upon spotting suspicious activity in a Mendhar village within the Poonch district, as reported by officials on Wednesday.
The individual, identified as Mohd Saleem, a resident of Madana-Surankote and a tractor driver, was shot in the left foot while in Sanghiote village around 9 pm on Tuesday. Authorities have confirmed that he was taken to a hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable. (Agencies)
